Twenty-eight employees from Unity Hospital and four from Mercy Hospital were fired for snooping. The employees each accessed patient medical information without authorization. Eleven teens and offspring adults were taken to the two hospitals on march 17 after overdosing at a party. Allegations that employees were accessing electronic medical records for no legitimate reason first surfaced in April.UPDATE (6/1/2011): It appears that a total of 32 employees, including 15 nurses, were fired in a single day for snooping.
