Stephanie Towers reports: An Upstate school territory dealt with an internet outage tuesday morning. The Pickens County schooltime district said the outages on schooltime and pupil devices were caused by a Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDOS) tone-beginning on servers tasked with running Pickens County shoal territory Online Services. “I want to be clear it wasnt a DDOS tone-beginning on our school district,” said John Eby with Pickens County schooling district Communications. “We’re not even sure if there was a DDOS assault on schools in general, but somewhere down the line there was a DDOS attack that affected our web filtering software companion which affected all of our devices as well. register more on WYFL4.com h/t, @chum1ng0
