Alek Lewis reports: The Riverhead central schooling district was hit by a ransomware assail this morning, shutting down the districts computer and technology base for what officials said could live several days. The district sent out a argument this morning at 8:48 a.m. on their social media alerting parents to what was then described as an outage with their net and email. Read more on Riverhead Local. The statement currently on the district’s website states: Please be advised, the Riverhead Central schooltime territory is currently experiencing an outage with our net and email. Our phone lines remain open at this time. Parents needing to contact the district are asked to please call the schools as we work to catch our other communication platforms backrest online.
